Ace's Gun Dog Kennels, we strive to produce top
quality well socialized hunting companions.
We've been fine tuning our training and breeding
program for over 11 years and only produce a few
litters a year in comparison to many other kennels.
Our breeding program is based around trainability,
health, willingness to please and last but not least
retrieving desire. We always keep the last
puppy in each litter to train and offer as a started
dog later on. This allows us to work first
hand with our own Dog and also gives us a first
hand look at what our puppies are capable of.
Our puppies' pedigrees include some of the most accomplished British Labradors in the history of Field Trailing. Their bloodlines have some of the biggest names in the British Trial world today and some of the best all around American Retrieving lines. Our goal is to try and calm down some of the American hyperactivity and also eliminate some of the British shyness. We usually train 70% or more of the puppies that we sell and have been very successful in our breeding program.
Our Training methods are based around positive reinforcement with a few force fetching techniques. We believe that in order to get a well trained dog you must start with great socialization and a complete obedience course. We limit ourselves on the number of dogs that we train to help ensure that they all get an adequate amount of time so that the finished result is maximized.
